Calendering is a process to create sheet and film. The process by which continuous sheet of thermoplastics material is made by passing the heat softened polymer between two or more roll.
Calendering were orginally developped for processing rubber but they are now widely used for producing thermoplastics sheets and coating mainly of flexible PVC.
Rigid calendered PVC sheetings find applications in thermoformed pack and containers such as blisterpack, trays, containers for confectionery, pharmaceuticals, etc
